After a tough game against Kansas, the Wildcats went on the road and took care of business at Nebraska, winning 76-57. Kansas State remains on the road before returning to Manhattan for a pair of home games.

Kansas State has looked good on the road in wins at Baylor last week, and a dominating performances over Nebraska this week. Expect the Wildcats to come out and play hard again in front of a rowdy Hilton Coliseum crowd. Kansas State moved to 18-4 on the season with the win in Lincoln, and is 3-1 on the road in Big 12 play. Kansas State is averaging 81 points per game and allowing just 68.9 points a game. Kansas State likes to cause turnovers, so expect Kansas State’s defense to pounce all over Iowa State.

Iowa State goes into this game after being dominated in Waco, TX against the Baylor Bears, losing by 21 points. But Iowa State is a better home team than road team. Iowa State is 13-9 on the season coming into this game but are 10-3 in Ames, IA. They have been averaging 74 points per game and allowing 69 points a game.

Keys to Victory

For Kansas State to win this game they need to go into Hilton Coliseum poised and confident. They cannot let the big win at Nebraska enlarge their heads. Consistency is another key for K-State as Clemente, Kelly and Samuels have been far from it at times this season. If Kansas State can cause turnovers, stay consistent, and play their game, expect another huge win on the road.

Game Notes

Iowa State will wear pink uniforms in support of breast cancer awareness. Head coach Greg McDermott’s wife and graduate assistant Bryan Petersen’s mother are both survivors of breast cancer, so expect the team to come out fired up pink and all.

The game will tip-off at 1PM on ESPN2.
